Identification and Metabolism of Naturally Prevailing Microorganisms in Zinc and Copper Mineral Processing

It has only recently been discovered that naturally prevailing microorganisms have a notable role in flotation addition to chemical process parameters and overall water quality. This study’s aim was assess the microbial communities relation chemistry zinc copper mineral plant. Due limitations of cultivation-based methods detect fraction total diversity, DNA-based were utilised. However, it DNA extraction need be improved for these environments with high particle content. Microbial metabolism studied quantitative PCR amplicon sequencing bacterial, archaeal fungal marker genes shotgun sequencing. Bacteria dominated communities, but addition, both archaea fungi present. The predominant bacterial included versatile sulfur compound oxidation. Putative Thiovirga sp. plant circuit samples, whereas Thiobacillus spp. Halothiobacillus also an apparent part community all samples. Nitrogen more related assimilatory than dissimilatory nitrate nitrite oxidation/reduction reactions. Abundance heavy metal resistance emphasized adaptation competitive edge core microbiome extreme conditions compared freshly entering process.
